Helko Werk's Ceramic Axe Stone is a perfect field sharpening stone. Its easy to grip contoured shape, provides for safe, simple tool sharpening.

We used Silicon Carbide Ceramic for our stone as it behaves almost like a diamond. It is not only the lightest, but also the hardest ceramic material available.

The stones Dual-Grit design provides both coarse (120 grit) and fine (320 grit) sides. The coarse side is very aggressive and is used for bringing dull edges back to sharpness. The fine side is used to restore edges that are slightly dull, and for refining the edge left by the coarse side.
